Families with children ages 2 to 5 can attend Family Play & Learn Storytime on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Otis Orchards Meeting Room. The session begins with books, music and fingerplays, then shifts to hands-on activities involving math, science, art and literacy.

The program gives parents and caregivers time to participate and play with their children. It also introduces literacy, STEAM and social skills connected to kindergarten readiness, with ideas families can continue exploring at home. A child’s library card is another option highlighted for families.

Library space is limited, so groups of 10 or more should call ahead. Additional listed dates are November 19, December 3, December 10, December 17 and December 31, 2026. Spokane County Library District says its events welcome people of all abilities. Accommodation requests for in-person programs should be made at least five business days ahead by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
